Lavego is a community of like-minded people who are coming together to make a difference in the lives of others and in the world we live in.  Lavego helps build relationships between those that have the vision and the ambition to "act," with those that have the resources to help. It is a platform where humanitarian visions, dreams, and passions are collaborated, promoted and put in action.

The founders of Lavego met on a trip to Africa in 2009.  After discussing the idea of Lavego together, they concluded that they needed to pursue putting it into action.  They discussed difficulties which nonprofit organizations encounter while trying to fulfill their purpose.  The most problematic of these being the lack of certain resources, not only monetary but e.g. volunteers, accounting, legal expertise, project managers, construction to name a few. They also saw that there is real disconnect between those that have the resources to help and those that are within an organization.  They thought if they could build something that could help bring the two together bringing a platform of accountability and relationships in one "place" then there might be more motivation for the people to be more involved; hence expanding humanitarian projects.

Lavego is people coming together, pooling resources to help support either new ideas or existing organizations with people that have a heart or resources to help. This is a platform for likeminded people to come together for fulfill needs in a more efficient timeframe.  Although it is a simple concept, it has the potential to open many doors and be a powerful resource to promote good in this world, giving the opportunity of people to make a huge impact.

“One twig alone is easy to break.  Many twigs bound together can't be easily broken.” African Proverb

We would encourage each and every one of you that reads this to get involved with Lavego. We don’t want you to think of Lavego as just another nonprofit company but as “people.” Lavego is a platform for things to get done, needs to be met, and visions carried out. A community of people coming together to help.
